Thanksgiving: A Welcome Reminder Why We Do the Work We Do

I often get to conduct demos of Ellevation for ESL/Bilingual administrators, coaches, classroom teachers and others. Educators almost always share their excitement and examples of how they would use Ellevation to enhance their work. And I always say the exact same thing: Our software is good; our people are even better. This is another way of highlighting Service, one of our core values, and our commitment to do whatever it takes to delight our partners.

In schools, educators like you do what it takes to ensure that students are successful. We know that relationships and authentic connections are critical if students are to feel valued, supported, motivated and inspired. Educators need to observe, listen and constantly refine their approach to individual children and the craft of teaching. And we know that all of this takes an enormous amount of hard work, passion, and commitment.

As we begin the Thanksgiving holiday we want to thank you for the work you do and the impact you have on the lives of the children you serve. Each and every day there are children that are making connections, progress, and memories because of you. And we are thankful that you allow Ellevation to play a small role. I certainly hope our software is helpful. Just as important we hope that the members of the Ellevation team, including all the members of our Sales, Data, Partner Support, Engineering, Operations, and Product teams, are doing whatever it takes to delight and serve you as you do the hard work day in and day out.

And in keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to thank the members of the Ellevation team who come to work every day motivated to build something great, ensure that educators feel valued and supported, and help ensure English Language Learners can achieve their highest aspirations.

The importance of the work was again reinforced by this video which I am sure many of you have seen. The boy in the video, and so many like him, will struggle if not for all of you. Thank you. And Happy Thanksgiving.
